Motherhood IS Ministry
Yes, Motherhood IS ministry.
I dare say motherhood is THE hardest ministry of all.
Why?
day in, day out,
good days, bad days,
sick, hormones, stress, lack,
It doesn’t matter.
Moms are called to minister whether we feel up to it or not.
No clocking out.
No setting aside the halo for a while.
Our children are always with us.
More importantly, their eyes are always ON US.
To do it well, we MUST, of necessity, press into God with everything we have.
As we press, we die to ourselves and our own desires. Namely, selfishness, self-centeredness, and pride.
And as we do, something amazingly, beautiful happens. We find a life so rich and satisfying that nothing else can compare.
The world may try to convince us that what moms do is of little importance. But don’t believe it. You are more valuable than you can ever know!!!
It may be the hardest, but I believe with all my heart it is also the greatest ministry of all!!!
Dear Mom, may you be encouraged today. Yes, Motherhood IS ministry and YOU ARE doing hard things – great things – for the kingdom!! May you feel God’s love and the warmth of His smile upon you even now…
