When God is in the small things. Like this teeny, tiny frog. A peaceful reminder to notice God in the small things of everyday life

It’s amazing to me how, even when life is overwhelming, we can still see the fingerprints of God in our lives as we slow down enough to recognize and enjoy them. Often, it is very small things God does. Things that may not matter to anyone else, but they tickle the heck out of us.

Seeing God in Everyday Moments

A sale on something you’ve been eyeing for a long time, extra time with your spouse or maybe a child who’s been away, a goal you set for yourself that you’ve finally hit.

Or maybe, like me today, spying out the window a teeny tiny frog on my flower pot.

It’s small. insignificant. So random.

And yet, in it somehow, I hear God whisper to my heart, “I see you.” And in that moment, my heart is flooded, as if I’ve been given the rarest of gifts.

What follows is peace. delight. joy.

Because if He can send something so seemingly insignificant my way just because He knows the joy it will bring to me, I know He can also send anything I need today.

There He goes, lovingly reminding me yet again that He is in control.

Heavenly Father, open our eyes to notice Your fingerprints in our lives

Every.

Single.

Day.

The messy ones, the ones that don’t go as planned, and the ones that leave us feeling overwhelmed. Yes, even on those days, may we experience Your uniquely personal love in the smallest of things and feel Your peace and joy flood our hearts. And may we worship You as God Almighty, always in complete control.

In Jesus’ name. Amen!

“[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!”
(Ephesians 3:19 AMPC)

Much love,
